Wednesday Adults Beginner Chess Class

This course is designed for adults who are brand new to chess or returning after years away. We’ll cover all the basics step by step—from how the pieces move, to essential opening principles, simple tactics, and strategies for winning games. The atmosphere is relaxed and supportive, making it easy for adults to ask questions, learn at their own pace, and build confidence over time. You’ll not only understand the rules, but also how to think like a chess player—planning ahead, spotting threats, and making smart decisions. By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills to enjoy casual games with friends, join a local chess club, or continue on to more advanced study. 

Payment must be made in advance or at the location 5 minutes early. Pricing: $25 cash / $30 digital / $90 for 4 classes
